Balmain is a peninsula
suburb, situated north of Camperdown, on the western
shore of Darling Harbour in Sydney. It has a trendy
village atmosphere, with some fine
restored houses, funky cafes and
excellent restaurants. It is also one of
Sydney's oldest suburbs, with many
historic and heritage buildings. It is a
beautiful area to visit and just walk
around. Situated just 5km from Sydney's
CBD, Balmain has more pubs per block than
any other suburb in Sydney.
