Tourist parks
(holiday parks, motor camps, RV parks and caravan parks)
cater for the needs of people traveling in a
camper-trailer or motorhome (also refered to as a trailer
or caravan). They typically provide amenity buildings
(including toilets, showers and laundry) and are often
family friendly, with outdoor swimming pools, tennis
courts, playgrounds, games rooms, barbecues and plenty of
space for kids to run around. Many tourist parks also
have self contained cabins, while some provide camping
grounds with powered and non-powered tent sites. Most
tourist parks are situated near places of natural beauty,
such as rivers, beaches or forests.
