A holiday apartment
is a self-contained accommodation unit, occupying part of
a building. Also known as holiday units, they
provide travellers with the modern comforts of home in a
more spacious setting than rooms in a hotel or motel.
Holiday apartments normally range from one to three
bedrooms and include a kitchen (or kitchenette),
bathroom, lounge and dining area. Many holiday apartments
also have a veranda. Holiday apartments are fully
furnished and the kitchen is normally equipped with
cutlery, crockery, etc, and the bathroom usually has
towels and bath mats. Some holiday units also have a
washing machine, television and telephone.
